COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S COMMENTS
International Benjamin Franklin Fire Service Awards of Valor were presented
from Motorola to Lieutenant Steven V. Traylor, Firefighter William J. Jeffords,
Jr. and Firefighter Michael C. Harrell for their heroic actions in rescuing 20
people who were trapped on the second floor of a flooded apartment building that
was beginning to crumble during Tropical Storm Gaston.
RESOLUTIONS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS
Adopted
Resolution recognizing Reverend Donna Mott for her service to the
Chesterfield Disability Services Board and the county.
WORK SESSION
A work session was held on Community Development Authorities and proposed county
criteria for considering Community Development Authority applications.
Approved
Public hearing date of November 22, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. for the
Board to consider adoption of an ordinance indicating the county's
willingness to consider petitions to create Community Development
Authorities.
NEW BUSINESS
Approved
Designation of tax revenue, unspent appropriations and other
revenue for use in FY2007 for capital items; and public hearing date
of November 9, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. to consider the appropriation of
funds for various uses.

Appointment of Ms. Linda L. VanAken to serve on the Disability
Services Board.
