This day a petition with numerous names subscribed thereto was presented to the Boar(
requesting this Board to take up the matter of a signal light or traffic Control at
the intersectica of the U.S.Highway #1 and Rt. 616.
IUpon ccasideratica whereof, and ca motion, of H. T. Goyne, it is resolved, that this
Board of Supervisors petition ~he Virginia State Highway Con~nission that due to the
Ihazardous condition prevailing a~ the Richraond-Petersburg Pike due to the heavy
]traffic on said Richmond and Petersburg Pike and the open speed regulation, that a
! survey be i,lade looking toward the establishment of speed zones of 25 and 35 miles
i per hour on said road or such other regulation as will eliminate the hazard.
