This day a delegation £rom the subdivision of "Chesterwood", headed by i~irs. Vaughan
Icame before the Board, and requested this Board to take some action concernJa~g the
!dumping of rubbish and trash on one of the lots in said subdivision.Upon
consideration whereof, and on motion, the matter is referred to the Executive Secret~
to confer with the person supposed to be planning to deposit the rubbish on said lot
This day again the matter of the amendment of the Zoning Laws of this Cotanty came be~
the Board, and it appearing that the proposed change of said zoning law has been
!published as required by law; upton consideration whereof and on motion, it is resolw
Ithat the change be adopted and that the same shall from this time ma read as follows

This day Mr. Fred For~berg, of the State Department of Taxation, appeared before the
Board at the request of the Executive Secretary and discussed the matter of re-
.=ses°ment of lands ~n Chesterfield County.

And be it further resolved tt~t the State Tax Department be a_nd it hereby is requestgd
to furnish this County with such f '~' ·
ac~tzes as they may have to aid and assist in
!the re-assess,'aent of said real estate.
And be it further resolved that the sum of ~13,000.00 be and it hereby is appropriat ~d
from the ~u~appropriated surplus of the General County Fund for the expense of such a
re-assessment, and in addition thereto the sum of ~1,000.00 be and it hereby is
appropriated fro;,~ said surplus for milaage expense.
on motion, it is resolved that this Board employ three men to act as assessors and
review the work of such men as the State of Virginia~s Tax De~rtment may assignu to
this Board for such purpose.
And be it further resolved that the per diem for such service be ~12 50 for each
person for each day's service. '
cn ..motion, zt ~s resolved that the present Board of Assessors be continued in office
,until that Board completes the assessment of new buildings which should be upon the
~vax rolls beginning January 1, 1950.
!~hereas, the attention of this Board was called to the fact that since ~,Lr'. Peter W.
oovington had resigned from this Board, that he no longer was a member of the Local
Board of Public Welfare as a representative from this Board, and

and %~ashburn, Attys., recognized Bond Attorneys, Ne~v York City, and the question of
rendering an opinion on the constitutionality of the issuing of %-~ater re~%nue bonds
