And b~ it further resolved that the ExeCutive Secretary be and he hereby is authorized ~o construct said line after receiving the necessary engineering advice~ This day there was presented to the Board a deed from Minnie E% Bridgewater, widow~ et al, conveying a 30-foot strip of land to the County of Chesterfield , describe( gener~l!y as follows.: Running southwardly from the Memorial Avenue to a 20-foot right-of-way, all within the bounds of Matoaca Cemetery. Upon consideration whe~o~ and on motion, it is resolved that the same be accepte( and the Executive Secra~tary be and he heraby is authorized and directed to record the same along with the plat attached thereto. This day the Executive Secretary presented to the Board an offer, in writing~ for the purchase of the motor grader now on thegroun~s at the Courthouse~ the same being in the amount of $400.00. Upon consideration whcrao.f~ ~d on motion, it is r~solved that this Board doth approve the said proposed road leading from the corporat~ limits at the Railroad Bridge in the followin6 respect: (1) A strip 25 feet wide on the southern side of th~ center line of present highway to the crossing of the Southern Railroad; ~d 3 5 feet wide on the northern side of the center l~e of the present road to the crossing of the Southern Railroad witk s~de walk on said north side; ~d w~stw~'dly from the ,t,l. to Schmidt~s Service St~ ion, a right-of-¥fay of 60 f~et wide wide Sou thc~l ~ ~ according to the latest plans with 3~ feet on the nor?~crly side of th~ said center line and 25 feet on the southerly side of said conger 1D~e, except that where the new right-of-way leaves the center line of the present road at the Southern Rt~. ~d continuing so that it again connects with the center line of present road, ~md the ~dth of said new right-of-way shall extend northwardly fr~ said ne~ center line t c the center line of the present road. And be it f~ther resolved that the Board of Supervisors of the Co~ty of Chesterfield guarnatees to the Department of H1Ehways to obt~n th~ necessary rxEht-of-%~ay for the const~ction of the above ~ad' the compensation to be furnished a ecording~ to' previous policy of the Highway Department. And be it further resolved that the Executive Secretary be ~dhe hereby is directe, to notify the State Department of Highways that tLis Board has approved this road by resolution and requests the Department of Highways t o forward the proper maps showing how much land is needed from the respective o,~ers of land along said ri-ght-of-way, with the acreage in each case.
