Approval for the renewal of the manufactured home permit occurred several times between 1973 and 2015. On May 23, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approvedthe most recent permit (Case 18SN0129) for one (1)year, expiring May2019. 319SN0130-2019JUL24-BOS-RPT PROPOSAL The landowner, Ms. Socorro Wade, is seeking renewal of the manufactured home permit for an additional seven (7) years. Since 1973, Ms. Wade has been the owner/occupant of the manufactured home after her husband, HowardWade, passed in the early 1990s. The manufactured homehas two (2) existing porch additions(unattached and unfinished area)which were previously approvedwith multiple renewals. As conditioned inCase 18SN0129, a shortened approval time of one (1)year was given to satisfy landscaping requirements which were imposed. Staff’s inspection of the property revealed the manufactured home is located at the terminus of Appomattox Streetwhich minimizes the awareness of the use (Exhibit). The manufactured home is an older model; however, given the location of the manufactured home, and the installation of the required landscaping, the request will have minimal impacts on the surrounding properties. As required bytheprevious approval, the existinglandscape material appears to be healthy; however, producing slow growth over the last year.Additional plantings, installed by the owner, have been located along the foundation of the manufactured home to further enhance the property, and compliment the required plantings along the front property line. Staff is supportive of renewals for previouslyapproved applicants as owners/occupants of the manufactured home when the manufactured home and property continue to be well- maintained and in compliance with conditions of their previous permit approval. The property and manufactured home are well maintained. Staff believes the landscaping is adequate for this use given its locationat the terminus of Appomattox Street. The landowner is in compliance with the Board approval in 2018. No known complaints have been received relative to the use since the approval in 2015. 419SN0130-2019JUL24-BOS-RPT Exhibit: Commercial use/vacant South of Route 10 Required landscaping Terminus of Appomattox Street An overview of the recommended conditions isprovided below: General Overview RequirementsDetails Manufactured home owned and occupied by applicant.
