have any gua.rantee or any say L J8.Stowrn~krna of industry
will be allowed there. Further~ore, industry of any kind will
only decrease the valuo of residential property. Should not
the residents of this community be considered? We who have
children do not want the~ reared in a community which has been
neglected because there was an underlying thought that it would

Dear Mr. lvlayo,
We are opposed to the above tract of land being
rezoned from residential to industrial.
The value of our property would certainly decrease
and in the event we wanted to move, it would be most
difficult to sell our house.
When we bought this property where we now live,
there was no hint of the surrounding land being zoned
for anything other than residential or residential-
agricultural.
According to a telephone conversation with Mr. Jay
G. Kauffman, attorney, the Corgi Corporation would be
selling this parcel of land to a concern which plans to
locate warehouses on it. But can we be assured that will
happen? Once thi~:Land is zoned for industry, there is no
real guarantee what type will be located there. It could
be a factory-- with fumes, pollution, offensive odors, or
any industry. Under these circumstances, vole feel tha,t we .
must register our objections.

We, the unders~gned, J. Warren Deaner, Jay G. Kauffman and
Walker C. Cottrell, Jr., partners as assignees from the Corgi
Corporation, hereby ~ertify that we will accept the Use Permit from
the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County on the above pardel
and hereby authorize the Planning Commission of Chesterfield County
to recommend such Use Permit to the said Supervisors, providing said
Use Permit is conditioned as follows:
Parcel No. 82-6 (1) 3 may be used for any of the following
uses and any similar uses which are.not likely to create any more
offensive noise, vibration, dust, heat, smoke, odor, glare.or other
objectionable influence than the minimum amount normally resulting
from. other uses permitted, such permitted uses being. generally light
industries that manufacture, process, store and distribute goods
and materials and are in general dependent upon raw materials refined
elsewhere, and manufacturing, cornpoundi~g, processing, packaging or
treatment as specified of the following products or similar uses:

Concrete products (except central mixing and proportioni~q
