In reference to Case #70-11C, I am answering your letter
regarding the request.".'.6f the rezoning of the parcel of land
located southwest of the intersection of Route 360 and Clint-
w'ood Road. Refer to Section 48-16"& 62-4 (1) parcel 8 & 9.
At the present time there is a business located on the
property and I do not understand as it is now zoned Agricultural.
Int);my opinion it would be detrimental to myself and other
property owners conc,erned to cnange the zoning from Agricul tural
to Business.
I will attend the meeting March 17, 1970 to view my
opinion~.

Dear Sir;
This is in regard to Mr. Artaur L. Jordan's request foy. rezoning from
Agricul tural to General Business (C-2) of a parcel of land of irregular
shape fronting 515 feet on Route 360 extending southwardly to a depth
of 1170 feet and being located just southwest of tRe intersection of
Route 360 and Clintwood Road.
We agreed to let Mr. Jordan have his auction block out on Route 3&J
only because he promised (in writiag) to move all of the wrecked cars from
within 30 feet of our property which was not zoned for the wrecking yard.
At the time he stated tba. t he would plant trees between our ~ rO t and
the wrecked cars. The trees turned out to be more like eMU , 0 over
2i feet tall and it will be years before tlaey will give us any rivacy.

We have no objections to an auction block on Route '360, bat we told
Mr. Jordan that we would not agree to anymore wrecking yards or to a
trailer court.
We tried to have a new home financed and were turned down because
of the wrecking yard si tua tion. .
At the meeting on March 17, 1970 at which Mr. Jordan failed to appear,
his spokesman said that now it was doubtful about the auction block and that
the property was to be leased out but he did not state for what kind of
business. We have suffered enough fro. noise, dust and black .smoke and
it would be foolish on our pa~t to allow more of the same.
Listed below are several reasons for' ~oSiDe the rezoning:
1. Tbe wrecking yard kept us from getting a new home financed.
2. It is impossible for me to ~ clothes outside because of
the smoke from burning tires, eta.
3. There is always a lot of noise and dust when we want to be
outside or open the windows in warm weather.
4. I t is very distrubing to have a loud speaker blasting out
almost in your yard.
5. The scenery on Bailey Bridge Road is very obnoxious for us
as ~1811 as the other property owners.
