REO U ES T: Condi tional Use to permit a family day care home in a Residential (R -15) District.
PROPOSED LAND USE:
A family day care home within an existing single family residence is planned.
THE APPLICANT HAS WITHDRAWN THIS REQUEST. THE BOARD SHOULD
ACKNOWLEDGE THIS WITHDRAWAL.
CASE HISTORY
Planning Commission Meeting (11/16/06):
On their own motion, the Commission deferred this case to their December 14,2006,
public hearing.
Staif (11/17/06):
The applicant was advised in writing that any significant, new or revised information
should be submitted no later that November 22, 2006, for consideration at the
Commission's December 14,2006, public hearing.

No new or additional information has been received.
Applicant (12/13/06):
A proffered condition was submitted.
Planning Commission Meeting (12/14106):
The applicant accepted staffs recommendation, but did not accept the Planning
Commission's recommendation. There was support present. Those present indicated that
the use had not infringed upon the enjoyment of their residential property.
It was noted that seven (7) letters of support and three (3) letters of opposition had been
received. One (I) letter of opposition indicated that if the Conditional Use were limited to
the applicant, there would be no objection. (Condition 1) The other letters of opposition
expressed concerns relative to traffic impact along the cul-de-sac. It was noted that of the
three (3) letters, only one (1) of those persons resided on the cul-de-sac. Messrs. Bass and
Gecker indicated that the concerns may be able to be addressed with additional
conditions.
Mr. Wilson indicated that he had spoken with the adjacent property owner who is
opposed to the request and they had indicated that even with additional conditions they
could not support the proposal. He indicated that it is common practice not to approve
these types ofrequests if there is neighborhood opposition.
On motion of Me. Wilson, seconded by Me. Litton, the Conunission recommended denial
of this request.
A YES: Messrs. Wilson, Gecker, Bass GuHey and Litton.
Applicant (12/20/06):
The applicant withdrew this request from consideration.
The Board of Supervisors, on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will take
under consideration this request.
