Chesterfield County Board of Supervisor
Chesterfield., Virginia
Dear Mr. Burnett:
The Bensley Fire Departmentwishes*-to reiterate its
request for the purchase of a new fire truck.'
The rapid growth in population in Chesterfield County
in recent years has greatly increased the reed for more
adequate fire pro, teetion and thus, better equipped local fire
departments.
Further, the construction by certain corporations of
oil and gasoline Stora.e facilities In the vicinity of the Bensley
'`ire Department has increased this depa'rtment's responsibili
far beyond that of a, department situated so as to be mainly
concerned with the protection of property and the lives of citizens
in a strictly residential area.
We earnestly solicit your consideration of this request.
We would like to recommend the John Beam fire truck
for our department as vire feel that this equipment would be
best suited for our particular needs.
Yours very truly,
