My client, Faye Realty Corporation, has entered into a contract for
the purchase of approximately forty acres of ground owned by
Rupert H. Bliley. '!bis land is located on the south line of Jahnke
Road in Chesterfield County, Virginia. As you may recall, the new
school abuts this property immediately to the west thereof.
In order that this land may be developed for subdivision purposes,
it is necessary that sewage be made available since the land is
not acceptable for septic tanks. My client and I have recently
discussed this matter with the City of Richmond and they have
indicated they would' be willing to recOllllllend extending city sewage
from a point approximately one thousand feet east of us to this
property. Preliminary studies show that if a 12',' line is run, the
entire land can be sewered. It is my idea that this matter could
be worked out between the coui1:t;y and city in the same manner as
these two governing bodies worked out a sewer contract for Souths ide
Plaza. As you may recall, this contract was dated April 30th, 1956.
We desire to be heard on this matter at the JI1ly 8th meeting of
the board of supervisors and feel that we can present substantial
evidence at that time to show that this additional extension of
sewage is not contrary to any present county sewer plans, but more-
over it would substantially benefit this entire area.
Please place this on the docket for hearing at that time and any
favorable consideration given to this request will be greatly
appreciated.
