Mr. Warren called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Stith provided a blessing of the food.
Mr. Stegmaier briefed the members of the delegation about the
Meadowville Interchange project and the state budget request
supporting that project.
Senator Martin then briefed the board on the status of two
bills he is carrying on behalf of the county: SB385
(certification of hiring illegal immigrants), which was
referred to the Senate Courts of Justice Committee and SB391
(DUI Court), which is also in Senate Courts of Justice. He
also provided an update on SB379 related to concealed weapons
in schools.
Senator Watkins explained the impact fee bill he has
introduced, SB768.
Delegate Nixon discussed his bill equalizing representation
on the RMA (HB544).
Delegate Ingram spoke about the regional transportation
authority proposal for the Richmond area, introduced by
Delegate Hall, who could not attend the meeting.
Senator Watkins then discussed his RMA proposal, SB767.

There ensued general discussion regarding various bills and
issues.
Senator Marsh spoke about economic development.
Delegate Dance spoke about regional relationships and
cooperation.
Delegate Ware discussed land conservation easement revisions.
The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m.
