BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />MINUTES <br />August 26, 2020 <br />Supervisors in Attendance: <br />Ms. Leslie A. T. Haley, Chair <br />Mr. Kevin P. Carroll, Vice Chair <br />Mr. James A. Ingle, Jr. <br />Mr. Christopher M. Winslow <br />Mr. James M. Holland <br />Dr. Joseph P. Casey <br />County Administrator <br />Ms. Haley called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. She stated <br />due to COVID-19 and the occupancy limits of the Public Meeting <br />Room, citizens requesting to speak before the Board will be <br />given the opportunity to comment in person at the appropriate <br />time. She further stated Mr. Ingle would-be participating in <br />the meeting remotely. <br />1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />On motion of Mr. Winslow, seconded by Mr. Holland, the Board <br />of Supervisors approved the minutes of July 22, 2020, as <br />• submitted. <br />Ayes: Haley, Carroll, Ingle, Winslow and Holland. <br />Nays: None. <br />2. REQUESTS TO POSTPONE AGENDA ITEMS AND ADDITIONS, <br />DELETIONS OR CHANGES IN THE ORDER OF PRESENTATION <br />There were no requests to postpone agenda items, additions, <br />deletions. or changes in the order of presentation at this time. <br />3. WORK SESSIONS <br />3.A. EVERYDAY EXCELLENCE - COUNTY ADMINISTRATION <br />Mr. Matt Harris, Deputy County Administrator, introduced Ms. <br />Claire Lau from County Administration. He stated Ms. Lau has <br />worked tirelessly to ensure the county continues to meet the <br />needs of the citizens despite the obstacles caused by the <br />pandemic. He further stated Ms. Lau represents many other <br />• county employees who have found ways to contribute above and <br />beyond their normal job duties every single day. He provided <br />details of her many assignments including the Lane B. Ramsey <br />Administration Building Lobby, the Incident Management Team, <br />the Registrar, and the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney. <br />He stated Ms. Lau exemplifies the teamwork needed to ensure <br />continuity of county services during the COVID-19 event. <br />20-556 <br />8/26/2020 <br />
