BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />MINUTES <br />December 16, 2020 <br />Supervisors in Attendance: <br />! Ms. Leslie A. T. Haley, Chair <br />f`/ Mr. Kevin P. Carroll, Vice Chair <br />Mr. James A. Ingle, Jr. <br />Mr. Christopher M. Winslow <br />Mr. James M. Holland <br />Dr. Joseph P. Casey <br />County Administrator <br />Ms. Haley called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. She stated <br />due to COVID-19 and the occupancy limits of the Public Meeting <br />Room, citizens requesting to speak before the Board will be <br />given the opportunity to comment in person at the appropriate <br />time. She reviewed the protocols for facial coverings and <br />spatial distancing in accordance with Executive Orders 72 and <br />63. <br />1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />On motion of Mr. Ingle, seconded by Mr. Carroll, the Board of <br />Supervisors approved the minutes of November 18, 2020, as <br />submitted. <br />Ayes: Haley, Carroll, Ingle, Winslow and Holland. <br />Nays: None. <br />2. REQUESTS TO POSTPONE AGENDA ITEMS AND ADDITIONS, <br />DELETIONS OR CHANGES IN THE ORDER OF PRESENTATION <br />There were no requests to postpone agenda items, additions, <br />deletions or changes in the order of presentation at this time. <br />3. WORE SESSIONS <br />3.A. EVERYDAY EXCELLENCE - POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Ms. Shannon Braughton, accompanied by her husband, Robert, <br />addressed the Board relative to the heroic acts of Corporal <br />Officer Timothy Morton. She stated Officer Morton saved the <br />life of her two-year-old granddaughter, Camden, who <br />experienced a seizure and required CPR. She further stated <br />Officer Morton was not dispatched to the call but heard there <br />was a need and responded by choice. She expressed her gratitude <br />for Officer Morton and thanked the Board for having members of <br />the Police Department protecting the community. <br />Officer Morton expressed his appreciation for the kind remarks. <br />20-853 <br />12/16/2020 <br />
