On motion of Mr. Eagles, seconded by Mr. Spencer, the Board approved six (6) scholarship applications and requested the Board of Supervisors to approve scholarship funds in the amount of $706.26 to be set up in a special fund for the payment of the said six scholarships. Proceeds derived fro~ tbs festival will be used for various projects, such as the Teenage Club and tbs Quar- terback Club, which our organization sponsors. Also, in the future, we plan to construct a much needed community building. In addition, the money will be used for other beneficial comm~uity needs. There will be rides and skill ~ames ouly at the festi- val--no ~a~bling concessions or bingo. Such things as "girlie" shows, etc., will not be permitted, as this is not a carnival, but a festival designed to raise money to ir~prove our com- munity. BE IT ORDAINED AND ~LVED by the Council of the City of Petersburg, the Council of the City of Nopewell, the Council of the City of Colonial Heights, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Prince George, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Chesterfield and the Board of Supervisors of the County of Din- widdie, in separate meetings assembled, as follows: Section 1.
