Admin. <br />Mr, Michael Ritz, Planning Director <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Moseley~ architect, introduces Messrs, Jonathan Naylor, Andrew Schoerke, <br />Robert Murphy and Richard Vogel, Mr, Schoerke presents a slide review of plans <br />for the new office building. Mr, Naylor explains the methodology in arriving at <br />the present plans and explains the estimated costs which are: the base building <br />$3,915,700, with all costs added $5,220,280 and explains that an additional 11,000 <br />square feet can be obtained from an unfinished basement for approximately $150,000 <br />There is a general discussion of the merits of proceeding with the plans and con- <br />struction, the necessity for space~ etc, After much consideration of this matter, <br />it is on motion of Mrs. Girone, seconded by Mr, Myers~ resolved that further con- <br />sideration of this matter be deferred until February 11, 1976. <br /> <br />~yes: Mr. O'Neill, Mrs. Girone, Mr. Apperson~ Mr. Bookman and Mr, Myers. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Ritz introduces several people in attendance at 3:00 p,m. for a dis- <br />cussion on the Greater Richmond Transit Company and the prospect of obtaining <br />UMTA fdnding for Chesterfield County. <br /> <br />Mr~ Henry Church, General Manager of GRTC, speaks briefly on the matter and pre- <br />sents Mr. John Ports who explains in detail the complex controls concerning this <br />federal grant. Mr, Charles Beddow, lawyer representing the Bon Air Transit Com- <br />pany, questions the efficacy of a five year plan. Mr. Ritz explains the origin <br />of the five year plan, Mr, Calvin Major, representing the Virginia Passengers <br />Association, speaks briefly.
