VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of <br />the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield <br />County, held at the Courthouse on <br />March 19, 1975, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Irvin G. Eng. <br />Mr. Michael Ritz, Planning Director <br /> <br />The meeting is called to order by Mr. Homer who states that the purpose of this <br />Public Hearing is to allow the citizens of the County to express their views on the <br />Secondary Road System and introduces Mr. Everett Covington of the Virginia State <br />Highways and Transportation Department. <br /> <br />Mrs. Lottie Beasley of 10,000 Jefferson Davis Highway complains of the drainage on <br />General Boulevard. Mrs. Ida Carter of 10,100 Brandywine Avenue complains of the <br />drainage on the corner of Velda and Brandywine Avenue. Mr. Eugene G. Ferguson of' <br />4534 Bruce Road complains ~of drainage. Mr. R. Ri Morgan of 10,137 Brandywine Ave- <br />nue complains of drainage at Trentwood and Brandywine Avenue. Mrs. Joan Green of <br />10,014 Brandywine Avenue states that the drainage is generally bad in the Central <br />Park Subdivision, that the lagoon ponds water in certain areas, that drainage cul- <br />verts should be installed in driveways and speaks to the need of sewers in the area. <br /> <br /> Mrs. E. L. Daniels of 10,151 Beaumont Avenue complains of the drainage and the peo- <br /> ple parking on Trentwood Road. Mr. E. A. Hicks of 10,117 Beaumont Avenue complains <br /> of drainage. Mrs. Baugh of 10,020 South General Boulevard states that the drainage <br /> has been blocked and her property is being washed away. Mr. W. C. Stansbery of <br /> 4518 Bruce Road states that all the water runs from east to west to a stub road which <br /> has not been installed and the lack of ditches in the area are causing problems. <br /> Mr. C. O. Jones of Owendale~Road cites the need for ditches in Bruce Farms. Where- <br /> upon, Mr. Covington thanks the people for coming and states that he will review each <br /> problem mentioned and try to correct same if at all possible. <br /> <br />ilMr. Apperson presents some 13 places in Dale District that need attention from the <br /> Highway Department. Mrs.. Joan Girone states that she speaks for Mr. Krepela who <br /> could not attend this meeting and thanks Mr. Covington for the traffic lights at <br /> the intersection of Routes 147 and 675~ She complains Of the deep ditches on Robious <br /> Road very close to the hard surface. <br /> <br />i~Mr. Myers requests some attention to Willis Road between Route 1 and 1-95; the Cheste~ <br /> Road (Route 145) with high spots and the internal traffic plan of the Village of <br /> Chester. <br /> <br />After some discussion of the road system, it is on motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded <br />!~by Mr. Myers, resolved that this Board go into Executive Session to discuss person- <br />ilne! problems. <br /> <br />{iAyes; Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers and Mr. Apperson. <br /> <br />iReconvening: <br /> <br />i.
