Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County
held at the Courthouse on May 30, 1975,
at 2:00 p.m.
Present:

Mr. Lee Falwell introduces the consultants.
Mr. Bill Moseley presents the basic areas of discussion. Mr. Jonathan Naylor
presents some conceptual plans used in Henrico. Mr~.Andy-.S~rke presents statis-
tics showing the need for-more space~ Mr. Howard Jennings 'p~e~en~s aspects of
the proposed site--utilities, zoning, drainage, visual, soils, etc. Mr. Robert
Cox presents the building program.
Mr. Jonathan Naylor states that 130,000 square feet should be constructed in the
first phase calling for an approximate expenditure of $6,500,000.
Mr. Vincent Kling sums up the reporn by stating generally that the County is grow-
ing fast, that its assessment values are increasing dramatically, that its per-
centage of population growth continues at a high raue and that the Board should
begin now to plan for a new complex that would serve as the starting point for
the necessary growth of the County buildings for the next 50 years.
It is generally agreed that this matter will be deferred until June llth for fur-
ther consideration.
It is further agreed that this meeting will be adjourned to June ~, 1975, at
5:00 p.m.
