Eng. <br /> <br />The Chairman calls the meeting to order~ <br /> <br />Mr. Manuel gives the invocation. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Myers, it is resolved that the minutes <br />of August 13th and 18th be and they hereby are approved as corrected. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers and Mr. Apperson. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman Moore and Ms. Joan Briccetti of the Richmond Symphony come before the <br />Board to request renewal of the contract with the County which contract has been <br />increased $1,500 for a total of $16,500. Mr. Moore explains the scope of the ser- <br />vices the Symphony will render and some of the programs proposed for the school <br />children. <br /> <br />Upon consideration whereof, it is on motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Myers, <br />resolved that the County renew their contract with the Richmond Symphony in the <br />amount of $16,500. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers and Mr. Apperson. <br /> <br />Mr. Burnett states that the County has been notified that the roads in River Road <br />Estates have been accepted into the State Secondary System as follows: <br /> <br />RIVER ROAD ESTATES <br /> <br />Brickhouse Drive <br /> <br />From its intersection with River Road southerly <br />0.05 mile to its intersection with Brickhouse <br />Court thence easterly 0.20 mile to a cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />Brickhouse Court <br /> <br />From its intersection with Brickhouse Drive <br />westerly 0.06 mile to a cul-de-sac <br /> <br />Truth Drive <br /> <br />From its intersection with River Road southerly <br />0.15 mile to its intersection with Attucks Drive <br />thence southwesterly 0.10 mile to a cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />0.25 mile <br /> <br />0.06 mile <br /> <br />0.25 mile <br /> <br />Attucks Drive <br /> <br />From its intersection with River Road southerly <br />0.13 mile to its intersection with Truth Drive. <br /> <br />0.13 mile <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Myers, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved that the State <br />Highway Department be requested to install a stop sign at the intersection of <br />Bruce Road and Buckingham Street in Chester. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Horner, Mr. Myers, Mr. Apperson and Mr. Krepela. <br /> <br />Mr. Burnett states that all members of the Board have received a copy of a letter <br />from Mr. W. S. Pinchbeck who is the developer of Wedgewood apprising them of the <br />resolvement with the Roettgers. <br /> <br />Mr. Burnett states that he has received a copy of a letter from Mr. Fugate to Mr. <br />Gray stating that the Highway Department is not planning to do anything with the <br />funds that were to be used for 1-66 at this time and feels they will have to be <br />spent on the Interstate System. <br /> <br /> <br />
