Mr. Burnett states that this time and date has been set for a Public Hearing on
<br />the amendments to the Zoning Ordinance with regard to the side yard restrictions.
<br />
<br />There being no one present to oppose the amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, it
<br />is on motion of Mr. Krepela, seconded by Mr. O'Neill, resolved that the Zoning
<br />Ordinance be and it hereby is amended as follows:
<br />
<br />(a) in Section 5-5 (4) Side Yard~ change "twenty (20)" to
<br />fifteen (15)"; (b) in Section 6-5 (4) Side Ya'rdj add the
<br />following sentence: "Provided further that lots recorded
<br />after December i, 1975 shall have minimum side yards of
<br />fifteen (15) feet each."; and (c) in Section 7-5 (4) Side
<br />Y'ard, change "fifteen (15)" to "ten (10)."

<br />
<br />Mr. Condrey comes before the Board to request an additional fund to be used for
<br />the Swift Creek Sewer Revenue Bonds. Upon consideration whereof, it is on motion
<br />of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Krepela, resolved that Fund 75 be established
<br />to record all transactions involving the Sewer Revenue Bonds for Swift Creek
<br />sewer system.
<br />

<br />Whereas, Captain Robert C. Anderson of the Los Angeles City Fire Department has
<br />spent seven days with the Chesterfield County Fire Department developing a train-
<br />ing program for the new snorkel unit and other equipment; and
<br />
<br />Whereas, Captain Robert C. Anderson is eminently qualified to conduct such train-
<br />ing, is an exponent of the latest and best fire fighting techniques and has con-
<br />ducted himself in an exemplary fashion giving credit to his training by the Los
<br />Angeles Fire Department; and
<br />
<br />Whereas, Captain Robert C. Anderson's visit to the Chesterfield fire fighting
<br />system has been highly beneficial to the County and has raised the level of train-
<br />ing · n many areas.
<br />
<br />Now, therefore, be it resolved on motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. O'Neill,
<br />that this Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, Virginia, publicly thanks
<br />Captain Robert C. Anderson for his aid to the Chesterfield County Fire.Department
<br />and commends him for his devotion to duty and expertise in the handling of fire
<br />fighting problems; and
<br />
<br />Be it further resolved that this Baord records its thanks to the City of Los
<br />Angeles, California, for the assistance it has given to the Chesterfield County
<br />Fire Department.
