<br />There was received a letter from Mr. Kenneth Barton requesting that the County
<br />share in paying for a fence, lying between his property and the Bon Air water
<br />tank. Mr. Barton agrees to pay one-half of the cost. Upon consideration
<br />whereof and on motion of Mt. Browning, second.e.d by_Mr.Bri~tt~°~n~,_~t_~i~re, oS°ml~dtin~
<br />that th~ County pay approximately $100.O0 as ins snare os nne uuoo ~ ~ r ~
<br />the fence around the Bon Air water tank.
<br />There was received a letter from }4r.J.K.Timmons concerning the work done at the
<br />Swift Creek impoundment by Mr.E,G.Bowles, which letter recommended that the
<br />County hold approximately ~3500.00 to insure a good stand of grass and to waive
<br />the liquidated damages with the exception of approRimately ~200.OO increased
<br />inspection~charges. Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr. Britton~
<br /> seconded by Mr. ADperson, it is resolved that no liquidated damages, be assessed
<br /> against Mr. Bowles, except the ~200.OO inspection fees.

<br />On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. ADperson, it is resolved that the
<br />following special water contracts be and they hereby are approved:

<br />On motion of Mr.Britton, seconded by Mr. ADperson, it is resolved that Sewer
<br />Contract S-66-18CD, Boroughbridge Road to serve the Forest View 5escue Squad,
<br />be, and it hereby is approved.
<br />
<br />On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Apperson, it is resolved that Sewer
<br />Contract 6102-31, Westlake Hills Subdivision be awarded to the English Constructi~on
<br />Company in. the amount of ~300,750.00.
<br />
<br />On motion of R'ir. Apperson, seconded by Rir.Britton, it is resolved that Plr. Irvin ~.
<br />Homer, Chairman, of the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, be and he
<br />hereby is authorized to accept the offer of Federal Funds for the County of
<br />Chesterfield, Virginia, as channelled through the Stat~ W~er Control Board.
<br />
<br />On motion of I~4r. Browning, seconded by Mr. Britton, it is resolved that this Boar~
<br />requests the Judge of the Circuit Court, the Honorable William Old, to appoint
<br />~lrs. Csrl ~imino as School Guard and Special Police Officer for the County of
<br />Chesterfield, and he is further requested to appoint Mt. Gilbert L.Bartle, III,
<br />as a Police Officer for the County of Chesterfield.
<br />And be it further resolved, that Col. E.P.Gill be authorized to employ Mr. James L.
<br />Dobbins, Jr. as a Dispatcher for the Chesterfield Police Department.
<br />
<br />On motiOn of Mt.Browning, seconded by Mr.Britton, it is resolved that the
<br />Purchasing Agent of the County be and he hereby is authorized to purchase from
<br />the Strosnider Chevrolet Company of Hopewell, Virginia, who submitted the low bi~s:
<br />
<br />1 - Pickup Truck for the Ettrick Sanitary District
<br />2 - Pickup Trucks for the Sewer Depa~rtment
<br />2 - Ranch Wagons for the Dog Wardens
<br />
<br />On motionof Mr. Goyne, seconded by Mt. Browning, it is resolved that this Board
<br />receive and filed ~n audit of the Clerk, of Circuit Court, Mt.William R. Shelto~,
<br />for theperiod of January 1, 1966 through March 3, 1966, at which time Mr. Sheltom
<br />became County Judge.
<br />
<br />The Executive Secretary presented an estin~te for the installation of two tennis
<br />courts in various locations of the County, which estimate was approximately
<br />$38o0.oo.
<br />It was generally agreed that further study be given this program and recommendations
<br />for the location of the various tennis courts be submitted.
<br />Upon further consideration and on motion of Mr.Browning, seconded by Mr. i~artin~,
<br />it is resolved that the Matoaea High School be included in the study-for tennis
<br />court s ·
