VIRGINIA: At an adjourned m~eting of the <br />Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, <br />held at the Court House on March 30, 1959, <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Irvin G.Horner, Chairman <br />Mr. H. T.Goyne <br />Mr. R.J.Britton <br />Mr. Stanley R.Hague, Jr. <br />5~r.H.K. Hagerman <br />Mr. Marshall F.Driskill <br /> <br />This day the County Engineer presented seven standard contracts for the <br />installation of water lines in subdivi, stons. <br />Upon consideration whereof, and on motion of Mr.Britton, seconded by Mr. Goyne <br />it is resolve~ that the contracts for the following locations and amounts <br />be and they hereby are approved and the Chairman andClerk of this Board are <br />authorized to si~n said contracts for the County: <br /> <br />Falling Creek Hills $17,355.00 <br />Grove Place 2.850.75 <br />Kinseley Avenue 5&5.O0 <br />Forest Hills Farms 2~697.50 <br />Laurel Meadows l~O00.O0 <br />Centerbury Hills 4,379.25 <br />Holiday Plaza <br /> <br />This day a brief discussion was h~d concerning the location of m;water line <br />Rt. 10 south of the Falling Creek and the Harrowgate Road, northwest of Rt.~l. <br /> <br />This day the County Engineer reported to the Board that bids had been received <br />for the digginE of a well at the Court House and that the Mitchell Pump & Well <br />Company was the apparent low bidder for a 6" well 300 feet deep. On motion <br />of Mt. Hague,s, seconded by Mr.Driskill, it is resolved that the County Engineer <br />be and"he hereby is authorized to negotiate'for the digging of an 8" well <br />at the Court House. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Goyne, seconded by Mr. Britton, it is resolved that this Board <br />approve the contract with R.B.Ritchie and Company for the construction of a <br />base for the wader tank at theEnon School, which base will include the necessar <br />piling to give adequate support. <br /> <br />On motion of N Ir. Hague, seconded by <br />the developer of Alice Heights, be <br />water lines by the County Engineer <br />HeiEhts. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Goyne. seconded by <br />Engineer require the r~w oNners of <br />to comply with the water policy of <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Driskill, seconded <br />go into Executive Session. <br /> <br />Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that Mr. Rudolph, <br />required to comply with the layout of <br />and to install said water li~s fn Alice <br /> <br />Mr. Driskill, it is resolved that the County <br />certain properties east of Sam's Diner <br />the County to have a meter to each residenc~ <br /> <br />by Mr. Goyne, it is resolved that this Board <br /> <br />Reconvening: <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Goyne, seconded by Mr.Hagerman, it isresolved that this Board <br />grant the request of theSchool Board dRted March 18, 1959, which request was <br />for the approval of the transfer of sufficient funds not to exceed $46,000.00 <br />from Capital Outlay to the School Construction Fund, to develop a single <br />treatment plant for the Chester Elementary and the Thomas Dale High Schools. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Driskill, it is resolved that the <br />Co~nonwealth's Attorney be and he hereby is request ed to prepare a deed for <br />a road riEht of way dedicated tothe County by theSchool Board by resolution <br />dated March 18~ 195Q, which road is an extension of Cranford Brive across the <br />property of the E.S.H.Oreen School. <br />and be it further resolved that this Board accepts said deed. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Britton, seconded by Mr. Driskill, it is resolved that this Boar¢ <br />approve the contract between the City of Richmond and the County to provide <br />sewer se~'vice for the West over Manor Subdivision, and the Chairman and Clerk <br />of this Boar~ are author1 zed to sign said contract on b~half of this Board. <br /> <br />Re: Sewer Contract with the Faye COrporation for the Installation of Sewer <br />Lines in Westover Manor Subdivision and Transmission Mains connecting with the <br />system of the City of Richmond. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr.Britton, seconded by ~. Driskill,Be it R~solved: That the <br />contract between the Faye Corporation and the County to construct sewer lines <br /> <br /> <br />
