VIRGINIA: At an adjourned meeting of the <br />Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield <br />County, held at the Courthouse on <br />February 26, 1969 at 2:00 P.M. <br />Present: <br />Mr. <br />Irvin G. Horner, Chairman <br />Mr. <br />Morris Mason, Asst.Comm. Atty. <br />Mr. <br />H. <br />0. Browning, Vice- Chr. <br />Mr. <br />M. W.Burnett, Exec. Secy. <br />Mr. <br />J. <br />Ruffin Apperson <br />Mr. <br />John E. Longmire,Asst.Exec.Sec'y. <br />Mr. <br />F. <br />F.Dietsch <br />Mr. <br />Howard A. Mayo, Jr.Co.Planner <br />Mr. <br />A. <br />R. Martin <br />Mr. <br />Robt. A. Painter,Co. Engineer <br />Mr. <br />C. <br />J. Purdy <br />On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Browning, it is resolved <br />that the minutes of January 22 and February 12, 1969 be and they <br />hereby are approved as amended. <br />The vacation schedule was discussed at length and upon consideration <br />whereof and on motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Martin, it <br />is resolved that the consideration of this matter be delayed for <br />thirty days. <br />On motion of Mr. Purdy, seconded by Mr. Diptsch, it is resolved that <br />this Board approves the payment of the following game claims: <br />Mrs. M. J. Lawing 41 White Leghorn hens $61.50 <br />Mr. Feancis Newcomb 8 Ducks, and chickens 24.00 <br />On motion of Mr.Browning, seconded by Mr. Purdy, it is resolved <br />that the sum of $1125.00 be appropriated to the Virginia Association <br />of Counties as Chesterfield's part in intervening in the case of <br />the Railroads Vs. the State Corporation Commission concerning the <br />return of taxes erroneously collected during the past year and for <br />reduction of assessments for the years to come. <br />It is here noted that Mr.Apperson votes Nay. <br />On motion of Mr. Apperson, seconded by Mr. Martin, it is resolved <br />that the following erroneous tax claims be paid: <br />Margaret J. Montgomery <br />6215 Sloan Court <br />Richmond, Va. <br />Personal property tax <br />for 1968 <br />$25.84 <br />Austin Watts Personal Property for <br />4226 Terminal Ave. 1968 1.36 <br />Richmond, Va. <br />
